Pho Tuesday is now a thing for my family because of Thai Son. Come by for some pho, big or small with a good selection of topping combinations. My standard is the small #2, a decently sized bowl with my favourite raw beef slices. The broth is decent, and I find it very filling. Sometimes I drink it all, depending on how strong it is that day.
Spring rolls are alright. Crispy, dry, and a bit out of my budget to justify eating it with just myself.
Great prices for pho (10% off on Tuesdays) so bring the family! -

Visited this restaurant on various occasions and most times they were okay. Honestly, I only go for convenience after having a dental check up.
I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. The rice noodle is now chopped apart, so at first it looks like a very full bowl of food, but it's not. Most of the bowl is filled with vegetables. The flavours are fine, but taste very regular; like any other typical Vietnamese restaurant.
Pricing was fair, my bowl was around $10.
Now what I hated about this place, especially for this specific visit, was the atmosphere. Yes, these restaurants can often have random moments of people being loud, but this occasion was horrible. One of the staff basically tossed plates, bowls, and utensils into the cart. Everything was so loud. Maybe she was having a bad day but it's hard to eat when there's loud clanging every time a patron has their table cleaned.
I don't recommend this place as a go-to spot. I do, however, recommend it if you don't mind a basic Vietnamese restaurant. -

Came here for a late dinner. There were still quite a few tables around us. I wasn't really feeling like pho so I opted for a vermicelli bowl. I had the shredded pork and grilled chicken vermicelli bowl. I wasn't really sure what shredded pork was, but when it came it almost looked like vermicelli, but a more brown colour. I think it was actually shredded pork skin. The chicken was super tender and flavourful. The bowl was pretty filling and had plenty of toppings to go with it. My only complaint was that I didn't know it came with raw bean sprouts and I would have liked them to be cooked. But now I know for next time.

This is a cash-only Vietnamese restaurant with several locations in Vancouver. The one that I went to was on Victoria Drive, which was built in the location where a Church's Chicken used to be. They have quite a large menu of various noodle soups, as well as rice and vermicelli dishes. I had a small Vietnamese Beef Brisket Stew with Egg Noodles and Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chops on Steamed Broken Rice. The food was quite tasty. Although I couldn't remember the exact prices, they were relatively inexpensive (plus they have an additional 10% off on Tuesdays). The only negative is that the service wasn't particularly friendly/helpful, but that is to be expected i most types of joints like these. I think it's definitely worth checking out.
Vietnamese Beef Brisket Stew with Egg Noodles, Small (around $9.50):
4/5
This contained beef brisket, egg noodles, and carrots. The noodles had a really nice bouncy texture. There was a pretty good amount of meat present, which while a bit on the chewy side, was still tasty. I particularly enjoyed the broth though, which was rich and quite flavourful, with just a slight bit of heat.
Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chops on Steamed Broken Rice (around $9.50):
4/5
This came with a small side of soup, which was just broth. The pork chops themselves were quite tender and juicy, and did have a grilled flavourful and fragrance. The rice was also well-cooked, with a nice bouncy texture.
Summary:
Food: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Service: 2.5/5
Overall: 3.5/5

Quick service. Staff are quite noisy though. I like their rice dishes. Soup was served hot. But I've been to other Vietnamese places where they also serve the same kind of dishes and tastes the same...and cost me a tad bit less.
